Victoria Walsh received a BA in Chemistry from the University of Northern Colorado and a MS in Pharmacology from Michigan State University, and is currently pursuing her MBA through the University of Wisconsin. She is currently the Director and Global Lead for Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacometrics at Covance Laboratories in Madison Wisconsin. She has been with Covance for 9 years, working first as a Study Director in Drug Metabolism for 3 years before moving into a full time leadership role. In her current role she has managerial responsibilities for ~50 staff members, including senior scientific staff, as well as staff in data analysis and protocol/report writing functions at five Covance sites in the US and UK.
She is responsible for collaborating with clients to ensure studies meet regulatory and scientific outcomes, ensuring regulatory compliance of studies and staff; is involved in setting strategic direction for Covance Drug Metabolism (as part of Early Development), establishing training and development programs for staff, assisting in marketing and commercial efforts, and driving the development of new service offerings. In addition to her daily responsibilities, Victoria also serves as Vice Chair for the Animal Care and Use Committee and is a Co-Lead for the Women’s Empowerment Network at Covance in Madison. In her free time, Victoria enjoys cooking, running, and hunting/spending time outdoors with her husband, Dan.
