Linda is a Registered Nurse with an extensive and diverse history in nursing. Beginning at the age of 16 as a nursing assistant in Upper Michigan, she has worked her way through multiple levels of nursing school, most recently completing her Master's Degree in Nursing in 2015. Linda is currently the Chief Nursing Officer at the Behavioral Health Division in Milwaukee County and is in her DNP program at Loyola University. Linda's work history spans over 35 years and includes pediatrics, critical care, home health, case management, utilization review and a variety of leadership positions.
She is a passionate nursing and patient safety advocate and believes the heart of nursing is developing a relationship between a nurse and their patient. The key to excellence in nursing is for a nurse to take the emotion out of an issue and ask themselves "What does the patient need me to do?" Linda's goals are to teach and start her own consulting business for community health providers. In her spare time, Linda enjoys wildlife/outdoor photography, reading, writing, and traveling. |
